Educated across the Universities of Strathclyde, Dundee, and Glasgow, Bob began his professional journey as a Teacher in 1971. His transition into Psychology saw him appointed as an Educational Psychologist for Perth and Kinross (later Tayside Region) in 1974, marking the start of a half-century dedicated to the Psychological well-being of Young People and Families in Scotland.

In 1976, Bob took on a senior role within the Scottish List D Schools (Northern Area), which evolved into the Child Care Psychology Service in 1987. Bob has played a central role in the development of Clinical Monitoring systems and Evidence-Based practice frameworks. At Abercorn, his work is focused on the delivery of comprehensive Psychological and Educational assessments. He works directly with staff to provide clinical oversight and guidance, ensuring that the placement of every Young Person across MHG services is informed by a robust and professional understanding of their specific Psychological Needs.
